![]() Pretty interesting in my opinion if it's like that. And after he turns back the memory is back and he gets confused when old, strong emotions revive. So that's why Aoki can't identify Yui as someone he's in love with, in his child form he carries the memory of his former love for someone else. At this point I can only guess what that is all about, but I get the feeling everyone's child form carries at least one strong memory that, unlike everything else, doesn't adapt to match their current knowledge and relationships (adjusted to an age appropriate level). More and more characterization just keeps piling up, about time for Aoki to get some interesting stuff as well and I hope this will also bring Yui closer to the level of Inaba and Iori.Īoki's inconsistent memory in his child form concerning Yui and Nana was a really good way to build up mystery and make me ponder his character more deeply. And after only one episode, this arc has already established its deeper purpose better than the previous one ever did, digging up regrets and mixing up past and present in a way that immediately makes some people question the authenticity of current selves and the value of their life. Child psychology can be so mercilessly raw. Turning into kids is an adorable concept with lots of fun potential and the new Heartseed is considerate enough to provide an exact schedule, but I get the feeling this is going to be the darkest arc so far.
